Introduction
According to the ISSF and ISHA award selection committees, we are honoured to open the site for the registration of all the participants that complete the eligibility requirements for applying to the awards presented by ISSF and ISHA. The participants can submit their applications to each award evaluating committee at his/her best convenience. The awards winner call will take place during the conference.
General Requirements

ISSF
Jerry King Best Poster Award
The committee of the Jerry King Poster Award calls for applications under the following mandatory requirements.

An individual can nominate themselves in the abstract.

Graduate students are eligible for applying for this award.
Best Oral Presentation Award
The Committee of the Best Oral Presentation Award calls for applications under the following mandatory requirements:

Graduate students and post-docs are eligible for applying for this award.
ISASF Ph.D. Thesis Award
Any student having defended a Ph.D. thesis before 31 December 2024 (defense must have occurred in 2024) is invited to apply for the Ph.D. Award, granted by the International Society for the Advancement of Supercritical Fluids, by submitting his (her) work to the ISASF jury.
The Award will consist in a grant of 1000 euros. It will be awarded during the 14th International Symposium on Supercritical Fluids joint with the 9th International solvothermal & Hydrothermal Association Conference ISSF-ISHA 2025 that will be held in Bali, June 2025. Please note that participation to the ISSF-ISHA conference is not mandatory to apply for the award.
The subject of the thesis must be closely related to the practice and/or theory of supercritical fluids (at least half of the work must be directly applicable to supercritical fluids). How to apply: A file in English must be submitted to the Society contact (contact@isasf.net) by April 30, 2025. It shall include :
• Dissertation title
• A detailed abstract (no more than 2 pages)
• Highlights of the Ph.D. work
• The list of the most relevant publications linked to the Ph.D. work, already published or in press
• Laboratory and supervisor names and address
• Environment description : number of students and supervisors dealing with supercritical fluids in the team where the work was done
• Duration of the work (number of months) and date of defense
• Applicant address

Erdogan Kiran Graduate Student Support
This award will be given by Prof. Erdogan Kiran to one graduate student to attend the 14th International Symposium on Supercritical Fluids (ISSF) in Bali, Indonesia during June 15-20, 2025, which will be held jointly with the 9th International Solvothermal & Hydrothermal Association Conference (ISHA). The winner will be announced at the conference during the award ceremony.

Amount: $300 to cover the registration cost for the conference.

ISHA 2025 Roy-Somiya Award
The Committee of the Roy-Somiya Award calls for applications under the following mandatory requirements:

An individual can nominate themselves.

The age limit for this award is 45 years old at the time of 1st June 2025, applicants under this age are eligible for applying for this award.

Nomination statement of the nominates relevant scientific and/or technological contributions in the solvothermal and/or hydrothermal research fields.

The CV of the candidate.

Copies of the candidate’s top 3 papers (PDF files) in peer-reviewed journals and/or corporate licensing of the technology, whether patented or not.
ISHA 2025 Byrappa Best Ph.D. Thesis Award
The Committee of the Best Ph. D. Thesis Award calls for applications under the following mandatory requirements:

An individual can nominate themselves.

Ph. D. dissertation summary (1,000 words) highlighting the relevance of the research work to the solvothermal and/or hydrothermal processing research fields.

Ph. D. supervisor’s letter statement for recommending the dissertation for evaluation to the committee.

The CV of the candidate.

Copies of the relevant research work derived from the nominate Ph. D. research work for introducing the Ph. D. thesis work.
ISHA 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award
The Committee of the Lifetime Award calls for applications under the following mandatory requirements:

An individual can nominate themselves.

No age limit applies, but reputation and longtime achievements in the solvothermal or hydrothermal research fields are highly required.

The application statement of the nominate emphasizing their relevant scientific and technological contributions in the solvothermal and hydrothermal research fields will be evaluated.
